Matcha and White Chocolate Cookies
A delicate and comforting baking recipe where Alma Matcha Tea brings its vegetal and elegant character, while white chocolate softens the whole with a creamy, sweet texture. The result is cookies that are tender on the inside, slightly crisp on the outside, and with a very special aroma.
Ingredients (for about 12–14 cookies):
- 1 teaspoon of Alma Matcha Tea
- 200 g of wheat flour
- 120 g of butter, at room temperature
- 100 g of sugar (white or light brown)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 100 g of white chocolate, in chunks or chips
- Prepare the creamy base: Beat the butter with the sugar until smooth and slightly fluffy.
- Add the egg: Incorporate the egg and mix until fully combined.
- Mix the dry ingredients: Sift the flour together with the baking powder, salt, and Alma Matcha Tea. Gradually add to the previous mixture until a smooth dough forms.
- Add the white chocolate: Fold in the white chocolate pieces, mixing gently to distribute them evenly.
- Rest (optional but recommended): Chill the dough in the fridge for 20–30 minutes to achieve a better baking texture.
- Shape and bake: Preheat the oven to 170 ºC (340 ºF). Form small balls of dough, place them on a lined baking tray, and bake for 10–12 minutes.
- Cooling: Let them cool on a wire rack before serving so they can fully set.
Balanced and delicate cookies: the herbal aroma of matcha blends with the sweetness of white chocolate, creating a soft, slightly chewy, and very aromatic texture.
Perfect to pair with a hot tea or to enjoy as a small sweet ritual during the day.
